Local Paper Lies
A local man was shocked last week when the Town Crier lied to him.
Pete Jenkins, 34, of The Hives, picked up his free copy of the Town Crier from his doormat to be greeted with a full wrap-around advertisement for a local VW dealership.
However, Jenkins was surprised to discover that the advert was not wrapped around a copy of the Hunts Post.
“It clearly stated on the dateline ‘Your favourite free paper is inside’,” said Jenkins. “However when I opened it, I was greeted by the Town Crier rather than my actual favourite paper, which is the Hunts Post.”
Mr Jenkins is now considering legal action against the paper. Solicitors Win Just Over £7000 LLP’s spokesman said, “We’d be happy to take this case, but then, we’re heppy to take any case.”
The Citizen cannot comment on the Hunts Post, as they never deliver us one. Apparently Citizen Towers is invisible to fourteen year olds.
